Cambodia Power Provider
Cambodian Energy operates two thermal power generation facilities in Sihanoukville Province, delivering 270MW of electricity to support Cambodia's energy needs since 2013.
Cambodian Energy Limited (CEL) is Cambodia’s first thermal power plant developed under the Independent Power Producer (IPP) model, with an installed capacity of 120MW. The project received its concession in 2009 and achieved commercial operation in December 2013.
Building on the successful development and operation of CEL, Cambodian Energy II Co., Ltd (CEL II) was established with continued trust from the Cambodian Government. CEL II received its concession in 2016 and achieved commercial operation in April 2020. Located adjacent to the CEL facility, CEL II has an installed capacity of 150MW.
Both CEL and CEL II operate in compliance with the requirements and regulations of the Cambodian Ministry of Environment, including environmental monitoring and reporting obligations.
